Drilling permit for well 15/12-25 in production licence 973

11/01/2021 The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Chrysaor Norge AS a drilling permit for well 15/12-25, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Well 15/12-25 will be drilled from the COSLInnovator drilling facility in position 58° 4' 8.33" N and 1° 49' 42.79"E.

The drilling programme for well 15/12-25 relates to the drilling of a wildcat well in production licence 973. Chrysaor Norge AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 50 per cent. The other licensees are OKEA ASA (30 per cent) and Petoro AS (20 per cent).

The area in this licence is part of block 15/12. The well will be drilled about seven kilometres northwest of the Rev field.

Production licence 973 was awarded on 1 March 2019 (APA2018). This will be the first exploration well to be drilled in the licence. The permit is contingent on the operator securing all other permits and consents required by other authorities prior to commencing the drilling activity.
