04/07/2003 Press release no. 13/2003: The petroleum production in May was 21.2 million standard cubic metre oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) - oil production approximately 14,0 million Sm3 o.e. , marketable gas approximately 5.2 million Sm3 o.e. and 2.0 million Sm3 o.e. NGL and condensate.
The average daily production was about 2 838 000 barrels oil, about 197 000 barrels NGL and about 202 000 barrels condensate.
The production in May was 5 percent lower than production for the same period last year. Both oil and gas production volumes were lower.
So far this year the total production is about 112,0 million Sm3 o.e. Oil production approx. 70.6 million Sm3 o.e., condensate and NGL about 9.8 million Sm3 o.e., and marketable gas about 31,6 million Sm3 o.e.
Please note that the table with updated production figures for the Norwegian shelf has been moved to the NPD's fact-pages.
The overview shows complete history per field and total production per month and year.
Preliminary production figures from the Norwegian continental shelf, June 2003
Preliminary production figures show an average daily production of about 2 605 000 barrels oil. This is 300.000 barrels less than produced in June, 2002. The reason for this is planned maintenance shutdowns on several fields, including Troll. Final figures will be published in the beginning of August 2003.
