09/12/2004 Press release 20/2004: During the month of October 22.5 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 0.4 million Sm3 o.e. lower than during October 2003.
Production is lower due to planned maintenance shut-ins of several fields, technical problems and a strike. Production from the gass/condensate field Frigg was shut down on the 26th of October after 27 years of production. The average daily production was about 2 798 000 barrels oil, about 227 400 barrels NGL and about 184 900 barrels condensate.
So far this year the total production is about 216.2 million Sm3 o.e. This is 1.5 million Sm3 o.e. more than in the same period last year. During this time frame, approx. 136.9 million Sm3 oil has been produced, only 1.6 percent lower than the NPD prediction for the same period.
Preliminary production figures show an average daily production of about 2.784 million barrels oil for November 2004. Final figures will be published in the beginning of January 2005.
Please note that the table with updated production figures for the Norwegian shelf has been moved to the NPDS's fact-pages. The overview shows complete history per field and total production per month and year.
