08/09/2005 Press release 17/2005: During the month of July 20.8 million standard cubic meters of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 1.6 million Sm3 o.e. lower than during July 2004. The average daily production was about 2 576 000 barrels oil, about 257 000 barrels NGL and about 139 000 barrels condensate.
So far this year the total production is about 150.2 million Sm3 o.e. This is 8.4 million Sm3 o.e. less than in the same period last year. Production is lower due to production stoppage and technical problems on several fields.
Preliminary production figures for August shows a small decline in oil production. Average daily production is about 2.497 million barrels oil and 0.389 million barrels NGL and condensate. The reduction is mainly due to planned activities. Visund and Vale were shut in during the whole month of August. Final figures will be published in the beginning of October 2005.
Please note that the table with updated production figures for the Norwegian shelf has been moved to the NPDS's fact-pages. The overview shows complete history per field and total production per month and year.
