16/08/2007 Press release 29/2007: The average daily production in June was about 1 866 000 barrels of oil, about 246 000 barrels of NGL and about 55 000 barrels of condensate, in total 2 167 000 barrels liquid per day.
During the month of June 16.6 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 1.4 million Sm3 o.e. lower than during June 2006. Average liquid production per day in June 2006 was 2 604 000 barrels.
The main reason for the reduced production in June 2007 compared to June 2006 is maintenance shutdown on several fields. For instance, the Ekofisk field was shut down for approx. two weeks.
So far this year the total production is about 118.9 million Sm3 o.e. This is 5.9 million Sm3 o.e. less than in the same period last year. Liquid production was in line with the NPD's forecasts for 2007.
Preliminary production figures show an average daily production of about 2.296 million barrels of oil and 0.319 million barrels of NGL and condensate for July 2007. Final figures will be available in the beginning of September 2007.
Please note that updated production figures for the Norwegian continental shelf can be found at NPD’s fact-pages. The overview shows complete history per field and total production per month and year.
