10/10/2008 Press release 54/2008: The average daily production was about 1 993 000 barrels of oil, about 250 000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 64 000 barrels of condensate, a total of 2 306 000 barrels of liquid.
In July 17.3 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 1.1 million Sm3 o.e. less than in August 2007.
Production from the Glitne, Norne, Snorre, Sleipner Øst, Troll and Urd fields have been partly closed due to planned maintenance in August. The Kvitebjørn and Visund fields have had reduced production du to leakage in a gaspipe. Vilje started production on 1 July.
So far this year the average daily production has been about 2.1 million barrels of oil and a total of about 2.5 million barrels of liquid. The total production is about 159.8 million Sm3 o.e. This is 3.6 million Sm3 o.e. higher than in the same period last year.
Preliminary production figures for September 2008 show an average daily production of about 1.988 million barrels of oil and 0.197 million barrels of NGL and condensate.
The Oseberg Øst, Snorre and Vigdis fields have been partly closed due to planned maintenance in September. The Kvitebjørn field has been closed whole month due to leakage in a gaspipe.
The final figures will be available in the beginning of November 2008.
Please note that updated production figures for the Norwegian continental shelf can be found at the NPDS’s fact-pages.
The overview shows a complete history per field and total production per month and year.
