09/10/2009 The average daily production in August 2009 was about 1 891 000 barrels of oil, about 273 000 barrels of NGL (Natural Gas Liquids) and about 79 000 barrels of condensate, in total of 2 253 000 barrels liquid.
In August 18.5 million standard cubic metres of oil equivalents (Sm3 o.e.) were produced. This is 1.2 million standard cubic metres more than in August 2008.
Production from several fields were reduced in August due to planned maintenance.
So far this year the average daily production has been about 2.0 million barrels of oil and the total liquid production about 2.4 million barrels. Total production so far is about 160.2 million Sm3 o.e. This is 0.5 million Sm3 o.e. more than in the same period last year.
Preliminary production figures for September 2009 show an average daily production of about 1.870 million barrels of oil, 0.291 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 7.2 billion Sm3 net gas production in September.
Production from Vigdis, Snorre and Snøhvit fields were reduced in September due to planned maintenance.
Final figures will be available in the beginning of November 2009.
Please note that updated production figures for the Norwegian continental shelf can be found at NPDS’s fact-pages. The overview shows complete history per field and total production per month and year.
