11/04/2013 Preliminary production figures for March 2013 indicate an average daily production of about 1 789 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate. This is 22 000 barrels per day (about 1 percent) less than in February 2013.
Total gas sales were about 9.6 billion Sm3, which is 0.8 GSm3 more than the previous month.
The average daily liquid production in March was: 1 429 000 barrels of oil, 291 000 barrels of NGL and 69 000 barrels of condensate.
The following fields had reduced production in March due to various technical problems: Oseberg, Skarv, Snorre, Troll and Valhall. Snøhvit has been closed whole month due to ongoing repair work on Melkøya. The production from the Skuld field started in March.
The oil production is about 2.0 percent below the NPD’s prognosis so far this year.
The total petroleum production for the first three months in 2013 is about 54.9 million standard cubic meters oil equivalents. (MSm3 o.e.), broken down as follows: about 20.8 MSm3 o.e. of oil, about 5.3 MSm3 o.e. of NGL and condensate and about 28.8 MSm3 o.e. of gas for sale. The total oil volume is 3.2 MSm3 o.e. (about 13 percent) less than for the same period in 2012.
Final production figures from February 2013 show an average daily production of about 1.448 million barrels of oil, 0.363 million barrels of NGL and condensate and a total of 8.8 billion Sm3 saleable gas production.
