The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate at ONS

19/08/2010 As always, the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) is present at the Offshore Northern Seas (ONS) conference, (exhibition and festival) in Stavanger, and as usual, the petroleum authorities can be found sharing a stand under the national coat of arms.

The authorities stand is focused on resource management and safety.

The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy (MPE), the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD), The Ministry of Labour (ML) and the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) share a stand in Hall F, booth 606 (link to map of the exhibition area).

At the stand, you will find representatives from the four government bodies, eager to answer any questions from public!

The topic for this year’s authorities stand is Q&Authorities –or questions and answers regarding the authorities.

If you have any questions or opinions relating to management and safety that you want to discuss, do not hesitate to stop by our stand.

PublicationsAt the stand, there are also authority publications available, including FACTS from the MPE/NPD, the NPD magazine Norwegian Continental Shelf and the magazine Safety – status and signals from the PSA.

Make sure you get a copy of the new NPD shelf map. We plan on distributing 10 000 copies during the ONS week.

The Map

Booth 606 will stand out in Hall F with its playful, multi-coloured and anything-but-minimalistic design.

Q&A the movieThe movie Q&A, which has been made especially for the occasion, will be screened in the theatre to the back of the stand three times every hour. The movie has interviews of the NPD’s director general Bente Nyland, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Riis-Johansen and the PSA’s director general Magne Ognedal.
