Conference

07/04/2014 On 8 April, the NPD will hold a conference on measures to improve project execution on the Norwegian shelf for about 100 oil industry executives.

The conference is a follow-up of the report "Evaluation of projects implemented on the Norwegian shelf", presented last autumn.

"The report uncovered an improvement potential as regards execution of major projects. The conference will focus on how to improve and how companies can share experiences," says Arne Holhjem, technology and environment manager in the NPD.

He adds that budget overruns and delays are not new problems for projects on the shelf, and that most of the findings in the report are already known:

"However, it is important to learn from each other's experiences," says Holhjem, who is looking forward to the conference:

"I think we have put together a good programme with interesting topics and good speakers."
