App on every platform
The Norwegian Petroleum Facts app v2.1 developed by the NPD and the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy is available for iPhones/iPads and Android mobiles.
The app v2.1 is available from Google Play and App Store.
Based on data from the NPD’s online fact pages and maps, the app provides information about fields, production licences, companies, production and active exploration wells on the NCS.
Users can also access news stories from the NPD and the ministry.
The map function shows fields and active exploration wells, all linked to relevant background information. A search function is also provided.
Users can chose between English and Norwegian versions. New apps for iOS and Android has been developed in collaboration with the Capgemini company.

Preliminary production figures for December 2021 show an average daily production of 2 108 000 barrels of oil, NGL and condensate
Record-high revenues from the Norwegian shelf
The combination of high production of oil and gas from a total of 94 fields, significant demand and high commodity prices led to a historically high level on the State's export revenues from petroleum. Much of this is due to record-high gas prices.

Five companies want to store CO2
The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has received applications from five companies in connection with the announcement of two areas associated with injection and storage of CO2 on the Norwegian continental shelf.
