Director General Bente Nyland says she is surprised and very happy to receive the award:

“I share this award with my very capable colleagues in the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate; they contribute to highlighting the important issues and the right messages,” she says.

“It is essential that the profitable socio-economic resources are safeguarded, while also having consideration for health, safety and the environment.”
