Search for new Director General

After twelve years as Director General, Bente Nyland will complete her term at the end of 2019. The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has started a search for her successor.
The job ad calls for “a strategic, development-oriented and knowledgeable director general with broad management experience.
The head of the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate will face complex challenges in the intersection between natural resources, technology, commercial assessments, society and leadership.
The director general must have the ability to nurture a solid technical environment that contributes very valuable knowledge and insight for both the authorities and the petroleum industry.
The position demands a keen understanding of the NPD’s role, as well as good insight into petroleum activities and the framework conditions that will guide development in the sector in the years to come.”
