The Ministry of Petroleum and Energy has received applications from five companies in connection with the announcement of two areas associated with injection and storage of CO2 on the Norwegian continental shelf.
These companies are Norske Shell, Equinor, Horisont Energi, Northern Lights and Vår Energi.
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate will advice the Ministry in connection with the application process.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Aker BP ASA drilling permit for well 25/2-24 S, cf. Section 13 of the Resource Management Regulations.
