Consultation – proposed amendments
20/09/2022
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) is presenting proposed amendments for a public hearing/consultation process.
This relates to the Resource Management Regulations and the Regulations relating to materials and documentation in connection with surveys for and utilisation of subsea reservoirs on the continental shelf to store CO₂.
The objective of the proposed changes is to adapt the regulations in relation to established practices and routines. We are also making necessary adjustments to the language, as well as certain simplifications and clarifications. Some material changes are also being proposed, these are described in detail in the consultation memo.
The NPD proposes that these amendments should take effect as of 1 January 2023.
The deadline for comments is 11 November 2022.
Consultation comments can be submitted to the NPD by email; postboks@npd.no.
