Drilling permit for well 34/4-16 S in production licence 882
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Neptune Energy AS a drilling permit for well 34/4-16 S, cf. Section 13 of the Resource Management Regulations.
Well 34/4-16 S will be drilled from the Deepsea Yantai drilling facility in position 61°33'42.58"N and 02°02'10.59"A after drilling development wells on the Gjøa field.
The drilling programme for well 34/4-16 S relates to the drilling of an appraisal well in production licence 882. Neptune Energy AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 45 per cent. The other licensees are Petrolia NOCA AS (20 per cent), Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS (20 per cent), and Concedo AS (15 per cent).
The area in this licence consists of parts of blocks 33/6 and 34/4. The well will be drilled about ten kilometres northwest of the Snorre field.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Wintershall Dea Norge AS drilling permit for well 6406/3-12 S in production licence 836 S, cf. Section 13 of the Resource Management Regulations. The well is a re-spud of well 6406/3-11 S and located 70m southeast of the first well.
The Petroleum Safety Authority (PSA), Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) and Norwegian Environment Agency (NEA) are postponing the planned seminar on safe CO2 storage due to ongoing work on updating the CO2 Storage Regulations.
