The Shelf 2019 is approaching – registration is open

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate publishes The Shelf in January of every year. The publication is a summary of the past year; results from exploration and production, as well as investment and production forecasts for the next five years.
The Shelf 2019 will be presented on Thursday, 9 January 2020, from 10-12 in our offices at Ullandhaug in Stavanger, Norway. The presentation will be held in Norwegian.
The Director General elect, Ingrid Sølvberg, will hold the presentation. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. The event will be streamed live.

There are vast proven gas resources on the Norwegian shelf which are currently without development plans. Much of this gas is located in tight reservoirs – which makes it difficult to produce.
